The Michele Paternuosto exhibition organized by the TOWN MUSEUM OF ALBANO LAZIALE, Rome, aims at spurring the scientific debate on encaustic, through Paternuosto’s technically fine example of experimental archaeology, and at fostering the knowledge of ancient painting techniques, especially “ENCAUSTIC’s”. Ancient paintings exhibitions, such as the famous one on the Fayum portraits, have got an interesting and fascinating addition here in Albano Laziale: an experiment meant for experts, but also for the curious layperson, especially art and archaeology enthusiasts, by a Master Painter who courageously exposes himself to the judgment of the critics .
