Meet the Master:
Via del Cardello in the city of Rome is a little street at the heart of Rione Monti, the district encompassing monuments like Nero’s Domus Aurea and the Colosseum. Here you can find Michele Paternuosto’s studio, the headliner of the “Magic of Encaustic” exhibition, which ArteOltre, under the Patronage of the Italian Prime Minister and the Department of Culture of Sabaudia, has conceived and organized at the sporting venue of the financial police in Sabaudia.
The town of Rationalism hosts an event with ancient flavor, showcasing works done with that mysterious painting technique Paternuosto discovered as a child when he first visited the ruins of Pompeii. After years of research, he managed to revive a charm which never faded through the millennia and will not fail to thrill anyone who will stop by those faces of men and women, still natures and views which mark the historical and artistic journey of the exhibition.
