In dealing with Encaustic you can’t be unaware of the works of Michele Paternuosto. The Italian artist was born in Molise, a region in the south of Italy, but eventually settled in Rome. After years of research and experiments, he finally succeeded in explaining encaustic’s lost alchemies and secrets, which for centuries fascinated experts and artists of such stature

as Leonardo Mantegna, etc.
